Maria Furtwängler awarded with Karl Kübel prize

For her commitment to women and girls worldwide, Dr. Maria Furtwängler was honored with the Karl Kübel Prize 2017 on 29 September 2017 in Bensheim.

The Karl Kübel Foundation particularly appreciates the long-standing commitment of the actress and doctor Dr. Maria Furtwängler for girls and young women in the Philippines. Set up in 2011 by Maria and Elisabeth Furtwängler, with the support of German Doctors and a local aid organization on the Philippines, the MaLisa Home gives girls an opportunity to escape forced prostitution and trafficking. 

The prize is endowed with 25,000 euros.
