A SAFE HOUSE FOR GIRLS

MaLisa Home

Set up in 2011 by Maria and Elisabeth Furtwängler, with the support of German Doctors and a local aid organization on the Philippines, the MaLisa Home gives girls an opportunity to escape forced prostitution and trafficking.

The home provides protection for the girls, an opportunity for education and training and professional support on their way towards a self-determined life.

The MaLisa Home is located near Cagayan de Oro, a hotspot of human trafficking in North Mindanao. In 2016, the project was handed over to the responsibility of the MaLisa Home Cagayan de Oro, Inc..

German Doctors and the MaLisa Foundation continue to remain responsible for project support and financing.
